Anyone who has suffered abuse in life tends to become abusive later on, but we have to forget and forgive and, by so doing, we can and will experience a healthier life, not just emotionally, but physically and spiritually as well, says Fiore.
Although Cartas Que Sanan is personal to Fiore and the lessons are based on her experiences, she says her story is both inspirational and educational. She wants readers to implement the spiritual tools found in Cartas Que Sanan, to practice the psychological strategies that will guide them to a healthier life, guaranteed by the Lord.

Dulce M. Fiore, PhD., is a practicing psychotherapist and a Christian motivational speaker to Spanish-speaking groups across this country and abroad. She is a native of the Dominican Republic. Fiore has co-authored a monograph on health issues in the Dominican Republic and wrote a doctoral thesis on spousal abuse. She lives in Tewksbury, Mass. with her husband.
